December

Merry Christmas! I'm just a few months behind on posts, so bear with me as I attempt to catch up again. We had a nice December, complete with the first big snow of the winter!

Here's our house with its first Christmas lights :)

And our tree all decorated! With the new tree skirt handmade by Jim's mom.

We had a visitor in our front tree that Jim caught on film. We don't see a ton of wildlife in our neighborhood (besides the typical birds and squirrels) but this raccoon decided to come visit in our yard. He was probably looking in the window at Chip.

We went to the BBC annual Christmas party. It was a good time, as always!

And then the snow started...we were pretty excited at this point and I was really surprised we actually got a significant amount of snow! (little did we know what was in store for us later!)

We immediately took advantage of the deep snow that accumulated overnight and went out to play in it with Buster and Matt and Mary. Buster was sooo happy!

Still snowing....

Once the snow finally stopped on Sunday, here's what we ended up with. It was probably almost 2 feet. It was really pretty!

Once we dug ourselves out, we made our way over to Andy and Becky's to celebrate Christmas early with the Klapmusts.

And we played in the snow with Daniel for awhile. Uncle Jim taught him how to make a snow angel.

After a lovely meal, it was time for presents...

Even Buster likes to help open gifts :)

Jim got some new hockey gloves

Mom K got an ipod!

Daniel loves Java

I love my new food processor!! Yay!

And we got some exciting news from Daniel!!!

On Christmas Day, we hosted our first holiday at our tiny house! Here's what the outside looked like on Christmas.

Here's part of the loot...

We didn't plan this! Jim and I both picked out Caps gear for each other for Christmas! Love my Mike Green shirt :)

Grandma K got a Snuggie!

Jim and my Dad using their coffee related gifts! Jim got a french press and my dad got a Keurig. Both made some yummy drinks :)

Right after Christmas, with Jill and Paul in town for the holidays, I attended a baby shower for Jill who was preparing for the arrival of their twin girls in April! Here's Cristina, Kelly, me and Jill--friends since high school! It was fun to all be together again for her shower :)

One of the many adorable sets of outfits she got for the little ones :)

We rang in the new year at a party with some friends complete with hats and noisemakers! Happy 2010!

Chip wishes you all a happy holiday from in front of this toasty fire ;)
